Katie Taylor immediately set her sights on a mammoth Croke Park showdown with Chantelle Cameron to complete a trilogy after her superb defeat of the Englishwoman on Saturday night.

Taylor produced a display of intelligence and discipline at the 3Arena in Dublin to become the new undisputed super-lightweight champion of the world, atoning for last May's loss to the 32-year-old.

In the aftermath, she thanked the incredibly partisan home support for their backing, and declared her intention to fight at the GAA's HQ.

"Whoever wrote me off, they obviously don't know me very well," Taylor told DAZN.

"I'm nearly offended I was the underdog for this fight. Don't ever doubt me. The last fight you saw the worst of me and the best of Chantelle and I think it was still a close fight. Tonight you saw the real me, and when I box like that nobody can beat me.

"Let's get the trilogy at Croke Park."

Promoter Eddie Hearn echoed that call, describing Taylor as "one of the biggest legends to ever come out of this country".

"Honestly, it's the single greatest night I think I've experienced in the sport," he said.

"You should be so proud of her. In a world where everybody's life is under the microscope, have you ever heard one person say a bad word about this woman? Never.

"She deserves everything. Croke Park has to happen! It has to happen. Next spring/summer we will create an event you will never forget."

Taylor also reserved praise for her opponent Cameron, who played her part in a classic.

"It takes two to tango," she said. "Chantelle is a phenomenal fighter, a phenomenal champion and she deserves everything she gets as well. To have a trilogy would be a great respect for both of us. That's exactly what we both want."
