Kate Middleton pulled a rarely seen tiara from the Royal archives for last night's state banquet at Buckingham Palace.

Kate has always excelled in fashion when it comes to formalwear, and her latest engagements have proved that yet again.

The Princess of Wales attended the state banquet alongside other members of the Royal Family, including Prince William, King Charless III and Queen Camilla, as they welcomed the President and First Lady of South Korea to the UK.

The lavish event was thrown for Yoon Suk Yeol and his wife Kim Keon Hee and was a strictly white tie and tiara affair.

Having already turned heads before the event in a striking monochromatic red outfit by Catherine Walker, featuring a dramatic cape and hat, Kate once again wowed in a regal white and gold gown by Jenny Packham. The dress featured a subtle A-line silhouette and cape detailing on the shoulders, edged with gold floral embroidery.

She accessorised with opera length white gloves and am understated shimmering satin clutch handbag.

However, the real star of the outfit was her jewellery. Kate wore the Strathmore Rose Tiara, which belonged to the Queen Mother and was a present from her parents in 1923.

The intricate floral design can be worn as a tiara or as a bandeau that sits across the forehead, as the Queen Mother wore, and the piece has been seen in public for decades.

She finished her look with dangling diamond earrings, while her hair was swept up into a half up-do to support the tiara, with the rest flowing in soft curls down her back. Her makeup was elegant and tonal, with a subtle cateye liner and nude lipstick.

Kate wasn't the only one turning heads on the night, either, as South Korean pop supergroup Blackpink attended the state banquet dressed to the nines.

Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé and Lisa all put their spin on white tie, wearing a black sweetheart-necked gown, a romantic puff sleeve black gown, a white off-the-shoulder look and a striking ice blue shimmering dress with cape detail, respectively.
