McCoy's is at the centre of the drama in Thursday's Fair City on RTÉ One and the RTÉ Player.

The drama begins as Pete tries to convince consortium members Renee and Bob to buy shares in the pub - with all of them unaware that Pete's other half Dolores has already made a move behind their backs.

"Look, there's an urgency to this," Pete tells Renee and Bob.

"If we want to stop our local being run by thugs, we have to move - now what do you say?"

Later, Dolores tells Pete: "I've done a deal with Zak."

"On behalf of the consortium?" Pete asks.

"No, they won't be involved," Dolores replies.

"I don't understand," says Pete.

"Just me - well, us," Dolores continues. "We now own 21% of McCoy's Pub."
