Don’t Miss

Take That: Reel Stories, 8.30pm, BBC Two

In the first of two programmes about Take That, Gary Barlow, Howard Donald and Mark Owen join Dermot O'Leary at a cinema to look back at clips of their career, watching back key performances, events and moments from the past 30 years.

Home video footage shows them performing in school assemblies and in forgotten TV performances as they grafted for two years before their breakthrough hit It Only Takes a Minute.

They reflect on what followed after their meteoric rise, the chaotic success of the 1990s, from the epic highs and adulation of their initial fame to the darker side of success, as well as the departure of Robbie Williams in 1995.

That’s followed at 9.30pm by Take That: Radio 2 In Concert, where Jo Whiley presents a performance by the band at the BBC Radio Theatre in London's Broadcasting House.

Strictly Come Dancing, 7.30pm, BBC One

The remaining couples in this year’s contest have more to do than ever to secure their place in the quarter-final musicals special.

Expectations are high for the judges, so join Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman for another weekend of fantastic ballroom dancing.

Freddie Mercury: Auction Special, 8.00pm, Sky Arts

Streaming on NOW

In September 2023 Sotheby’s presented a series of sales called Freddie Mercury: A World of His Own, a once-in-a-lifetime event that unveiled the public and private realm of the late Queen singer.

This special goes behind the scenes in London as Sotheby’s New Bond Street is turned into a museum dedicated to the life of Mercury and his kaleidoscopic world of music, style and glamour.

Spanning art, fashion, musical instruments, personal papers and possessions, candid photographs, furniture, and jewels, accrued over the course of fifty years, the sales allowed the public to bid for a piece of rock and roll history.
