We have been hearing recently from TikTok how bothered men are about the Roman Empire, thinking on it once a day! RTÉ Arena welcomed a woman who - we are in no doubt - thinks about the Greek myths at least once an hour - listen above.

She is Natalie Haynes, the author of A Thousand Ships, her acclaimed retelling of the Trojan War, and Pandora's Jar where she explored the lives of the women in Greek Myth.

With her latest book Divine Might: Goddesses in Greek Myth she takes a step out of humanity and into the world of the Gods and Goddesses who were so powerful in Greek mythology.

Divine Might looks at the goddesses in particular, follows their stories - how they were worshipped in the ancient world, the stories that were told about them and temples that were built for them - and asks why these goddesses had such a central role in ancient life.

Divine Might: Goddesses in Greek Myth is published by Pan Macmillan. Listen to more from RTÉ Arena here.
