Jape is an Irish electronic band centring around songwriter and lead singer, Richard Egan.
Richie in fact founded Jape as a side project, over 20 years ago, when he was part of a collective called The Redneck Manifesto.
Jape went on to win the Choice Music Prize for Best Album in 2009, and again in 2012, the first artist to win the prize twice. Now he's releasing album number six in this illustrious career - it's entitled Endless Thread. And Richie Egan talks to RTÉ Arena above.
