Eve Hewson has continued to make her mark on Hollywood - and the red carpet - after the runaway success of Bad Sisters, with her new film Flora and Son.

The Dubliner attended the Deadline Contenders Film: Los Angeles event over the weekend, where she spoke on a panel with co-star Joseph Gordon-Levitt and the film's composer and primary songwriter Gary Clark about overcoming a fear of singing for the role.

Hewson, who is the daughter of U2 frontman Bono, said she'd jumped at the chance to play the struggling single mother Flora and leaned on her previous experience playing instruments in the role.

"I just thought, 'I could not let this person get away from me. I have to play this part. And I'm just going to have to get over my fear of singing — it’s not something I’ve ever wanted to do — and just go for it,’" she said at the event.

"And it’s ended up being such a rewarding experience on many different levels, but [on] almost sort of a psychological-emotional level for me, it’s like I faced my fear and I’ve moved past it and I feel pretty good about it."

The actress turned heads once again with her red carpet look, stepping out in an elegant and understated all-white ensemble that perfectly nailed winter whites.

She wore a simple white tank top, tucked into a white A-line leather skirt with subtle pleating. She paired this with minimal jewellery and accessories, creating a fresh and striking outfit, wearing only a pair of towering black platform boots in black patent leather and earrings.

Her long raven hair was worn loose and slightly waved, while her makeup was dark and rich, with a warm toned lipstick and softly smudged black eyeliner.
