As the title suggests, this documentary explores the challenges of deaf education in Ireland.

It offers various stories of deaf children and their parents, such as an eight-year-old whose parents have fought for years to ensure he has the same access to education as others.

The programme also examines how three deaf students who attended school in the 1950s were forced to learn to speak and lipread.

Here’s an omnibus from the early days of the much-loved Time Lord.

The Doctor becomes trapped on the planet of Skaro, where he encounters a race of evil mutants - the Daleks!

No argument here. This is vintage footage of the time-travelling adventure from 1964, starring William Hartnell, Jaqueline Hill and Carole Ann Ford.

That’s followed at 8.45pm by An Adventure in Space and Time, a pretty good drama written by Mark Gatiss telling the story of how Doctor Who landed at the BBC in November 1963.

The BBC's Head of Drama Sydney Newman puts young producer Verity Lambert in charge of developing his idea for a children's sci-fi series.

Character actor William Hartnell is persuaded to take on the lead role of a mysterious time traveller known only as 'the Doctor'.

Ian Nathan continues his enjoyable exploration of cinema with a look at the lighter side of the screen.

He takes in the early days of cinematic comedy with the breakthrough silent actors who took vaudeville slapstick to the next level, including Buster Keaton (above) and Charlie Chaplin.

As silent film gave way to talkies, films found new ways to keep the laughs coming, with stars like Groucho Marx bringing his famous one-liners to the screen in Duck Soup, and Peter Sellers excelling in satire in the likes of I’m All Right, Jack and Two Way Stretch.

Panorama, 9.00pm, BBC One

The Ukrainian Government claims thousands of children have been taken unlawfully to Russia since the start of the war.

The International Criminal Court has issued an arrest warrant for Russia's President Putin (above).

This Panorama special investigates what happened to more than 40 children taken by Russian forces from a children's home in Kherson.

Working with journalists in Ukraine, the filmmakers uncover falsified birth certificates, a secret adoption and a trail of evidence leading all the way to the Russian parliament.

The show hosted by Greg Davies (below) reaches what should be an exhilarating climax.

Sam Campbell designs a small bikini, Sue Perkins forgets about the milk, Lucy Beaumont feeds her young, Susan Wokoma pairs corn flakes with hot sauce and Julian Clary gently assaults innocent Taskmaster's assistant Alex Horne.

At the end of it all, one of the five competitors will triumphantly lift Greg Davies' gilded head to heavens as 16th Taskmaster champion, while the others assess the wreckage of their once-great careers.
