Megan will perform at this year's Other Voices Dingle Distillery Music Trail from 1 to 3 December.

Speaking about her new song, she says, "I wanted the music to feel as soft and romantic as possible, like a late-night slow dance over wine. This song is about those intimate moments of discovery and the lingering presence of young love."

Megan's musical journey has been deeply influenced by her Irish heritage, showcased as a member of family band Clann Mhic Ruairí.

Her upbringing in Donegal, coupled with her experiences in London and Nottingham, England as well as her participation in the Dublin-based alternative rock ensemble, BIG LOVE has shaped her musical style.

Tell us three things about yourself . . .

I’ve been playing piano since I was four. I’m a fluent Irish speaker and speak it every day. I learnt it when I moved to Donegal from Nottingham at eleven. I’m incredibly sentimental. I remember and keep everything and I have about 10 memory boxes.

How would you describe your music?

There’s absolutely a lot of Irish and Celtic references in there but I would say it’s storytelling cinematic atmospheric jazzy folk.

Who are your musical inspirations?

My Dad is definitely the main one. He’s the most beautiful singer and introduced us to so much music growing up. He’s the reason I’m a musician really.

What was the first gig you ever went to?

I think it was The Coronas in Bellmullet when I was visiting Ireland on holidays.

What was the first record you ever bought?

I actually think it might have been Brand New Eyes by Paramore but the first record I remember actually listening to was Best of Bowie.

What’s your favourite song right now?

Cá Bhfuil An Solas by Martin Hayes.

Favourite lyric of all time?

"You left a note in your perfect script, Stay as long as you want, And I haven't left your bed since" from Chateau Lobby #4 by Father John Misty.

If you could only listen to one song for the rest of your life, what would it be?

The Whole of the Moon by The Waterboys. That song has and always will hold a special place in my heart. Sometimes it makes me so happy and wanna dance and other times it could make me cry and I love that.

Where can people find your music/more information?

Like most I’m very active on Instagram and the likes. My music is on all streaming platforms. I have a very exciting year next year so keep an eye on all that.
