A man has died after the van he was driving crashed into a bridge in Co Kildare.
Emergency services attended the scene on the eastbound road of the M7 near the Ballymany junction following the collision which happened at around 6.20am this morning.
The man, aged in his 20s, was pronounced dead at the scene and was removed to the mortuary at Naas General Hospital.
The section of road remained closed for most of today as a technical examination took place.
It has since reopened.
Gardaí are now appealing for potential witnesses to come forward.
